You deserve to be seen, heard, and understood.

I would be honored to help you on your journey toward resilience, well-being, and healing. I recognize the importance of finding the right fit in a therapist-client relationship, and I place a strong emphasis on building a safe, trusting, and respectful therapeutic alliance.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2014, and have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago (2007). As an LCSW, I use a systems lens to understand your individual needs as well as the relational, community, and societal aspects that contribute to your quality of life.

I treat people living with anxiety, depression, pregnancy-related challenges, trauma, medical diagnoses, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transitions.

I bring training in a diverse range of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

My goal is to help you recognize your inner resilience, guiding you toward stability and security using a warm, collaborative, evidence-based, and trauma-informed approach. I believe you can and will get through this difficult time, and it would be an honor to support you in the process.

On a personal note, I live in Denver with my husband, three children, and puppy “Stinker” (I’m hoping to make her a therapy dog but she’s too excitable right now). Our life is full and chaotic and hard and wonderful.

A transplant from Chicago, I have come to love all ways of getting into the mountains. I’m finding my newest pursuit - fly-fishing- soothing to my soul and nervous system. Standing in the water of a river helps me remember how we all get to find our solid footing in life and lean into our body and mind’s inner resilience. I look forward to learning about yours.

Specialties

  • As an EMDRIA trained therapist, I am dedicated to helping you reframe your experiences, alleviate distress, and promote healing. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-backed therapeutic approach that was initially developed to address post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and has expanded to support a range of mental health issues, including anxiety and depression. EMDR can be helpful by reprocessing distressing memories, restructuring challenging negative beliefs associated with memories, regulating emotions and decreasing emotional reactivity, addressing root causes of mental health issues, and enhancing self efficacy.

  • Navigating adolescence can sometimes be a challenging experience for everyone involved. What may be less widely recognized is the efficacy of therapeutic interventions in addressing mental health symptoms and behavioral challenges. I specialize in evidence-based practices, particularly Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to effectively treat issues related to the complexities of adolescence.

As teenagers transition into the phase of 'adultescence' and beyond into young adulthood, my training equips me to facilitate and support the journey of self-discovery and independence. I am dedicated to helping individuals strike a balance between cultivating their own identity and navigating the responsibilities and commitments that come with adulthood.

I am committed to nurturing positive relationship patterns and empowering clients with essential skills for leading fulfilling lives. Please reach out to learn more.

  • Therapy can be immensely beneficial while navigating the challenges of infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. I have received specialized training from Postpartum Support International and I am committed to providing a safe and confidential space for women to express their feelings and navigate the complex emotions associated with perinatal mental health.

Perinatal mood and anxiety challenges, including postpartum anxiety and postpartum depression, are more prevalent than many people realize. Studies indicate that approximately 1 in 7 women experiences these challenges during the perinatal period. I am passionate about reducing stigma and encouraging women to connect to support systems. If you are pregnant or have recently given birth and are experiencing symptoms such as persistent anxiety, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, frequent sadness, loss of pleasure in activities you used to enjoy, obsessive or distressing thoughts, excessive irritability or anger, or doubts about your motherly abilities, please reach out.
